Annual Alumni Society/Oyster Pointer 5K race.
Racing
for Scholarships
The
Alumni Society/Oyster Pointer 5K race is on for September
11 and will feature a special memorial ceremony honoring the
victims of 9/11. Teamed with the Oyster
Pointer magazine, the Alumni Society hopes to raise
$10,000. All proceeds from the race support student scholarship
endowments. The race is open to the community. Register
now.

9 by phone only and are limited to two per
person.

shows, the Alumni Society/Oyster Pointer 5K race, Faculty Features,
a conversation with President Trible, the football game and

Giving has its rewards
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. John K. May, the winners
of the Annual Fund for Academic Excellence $250 CNU bookstore
gift certificate. CNU parents John and Sharon were automatically
entered into a drawing after making a gift within 30 days
of their phonathon pledge to CNU.
Dr.
Kip Redick, Department of Philosophy and Religious
Studies, received an award for top competitive paper at
the annual convention of the Media Ecology Association
for his presentation of "Theme Parks as Sacred
Places and Commercial Sanctuaries."
Mr.
George Hillow, Department of Fine and Performing
Arts - Theater, has published "It Takes Two to
Make Art - a Sender and a Receiver" in the Summer
2004 edition of Southern Theatre.
