Marshall Booker Named Fulbright Professor
Dr. Marshall
Booker, Emeritus Professor, has been named a Fulbright Professor
and will soon be traveling to Russia. Since 1946, the Fulbright
Program has helped nearly 23,000 teachers and administrators
contribute to mutual understanding between the U.S. and
countries around the world.

Teachers
of the Year
The
Daily Press and the Hampton Roads Automobile Dealers
Assoc. recognized “Teachers of the
Year” for 2002-03 as selected by
the school divisions. CNU alumna and past president
of the Alumni Society, Julie Sager, ’72,
was honored for her service to Tabb Elementary
School in Yorktown, where she teaches 3rd grade.
Simon & Schuster Contract Signed
Doris
Gwaltney, former coordinator of the annual
CNU Writers Conference held in April of each year,
has signed a contract with Simon & Schuster
for the publication of a novel titled “Homefront.”
It is set in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, during
WWII. Stay tuned for exact date of availability.
