Vision2010
Round Two of the Vision2010 Strategic Planning Sessions begins in November. The Vision2010 strategic plan will build on CNU’s past accomplishments, guide institutional change, and stimulate initiatives and opportunities consistent with its mission. The most important benefit of this strategic process is the exciting prospect of a collaboratively envisioned future through open discussions. Find out how you can participate.

City to begin major roadwork
around CNU

At the October 28 meeting, the Newport News City Council approved construction and roadwork in the midtown area surrounding CNU.

CNU’s cross country teams swept every major award given by the USA South in 2003.


CNU’s football team moved up six spots to number 15 in the latest American Football Coaches Association top 25 poll.

VECTEC Short Courses
The Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center (VECTEC), housed at CNU, offers short courses in web design and web site workshops open to the community.

Guest Lecturer on the Holocaust
Dr. Anthony Santoro opens his history class to the community, as guest lecturer Dr. Theodore R. Reiff speaks on The Nazi State and the Holocaust on November 18 at 7pm in McMurran Hall 102. For more information and reservations, call (757) 594-7567.

Bobby Scott to speak at CNU
The Honorable Bobby Scott will speak to the Virginia Political Science Association on the State of the Federal Budget on November 8 in the Alumni Room of the Student Center. Event is open to the public.

The Alumni Society invites you to "CNU After 5" on November 18 at Aroma Café and Grill, 223 Granby Street in downtown Norfolk. Join us for complimentary refreshments from 5:30 to 7pm. Bring your business card to enter into our drawing for some great prizes.
